About Us
At Valley Protection Services, we don’t follow the industry standard - we have redefined it
Our Objective
Our approach is built on real enforcement, proactive prevention, and rapid response, ensuring situations are addressed effectively — not simply observed.
Unlike traditional “observe and report” security, VPS officers are trained, equipped, and authorized to act within the law. From physical control to lawful arrests and handcuffing, our team operates with confidence, professionalism, and accountability in every situation. We don’t wait for problems to escalate — we prevent them.
We don’t wait for problems to escalate —
we prevent them.
Through a consistent, hands-on enforcement presence, we establish a clear standard within the community:
our clients’ properties are protected, controlled, and not open to trespass or criminal activity.
Training & Professional Standards
All VPS officers hold Basic Security Training (BST) and are mandated to obtain Advanced Security Training (AST)
This is a requirement that sets us apart from most of the industry. AST elevates our personnel from “security guards” to security officers, capable of decisive, lawful action in high-risk and high-liability environments.
It is also mandatory that our officers receive specialized training in:
- Use of Force
- Emergency Response
- Provincial Violence Prevention Curriculum (PVPC)
- First Aid & Emergency Support
To operate effectively in complex environments, VPS officers are also trained in:
- Crisis Intervention & De-escalation Techniques
- Mental Health First Aid (MHFA)
- Trauma-Informed Care (TIC)
- Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
- Indigenous Awareness & Cultural Safety Practices
Operational Experience
Beyond certifications, our strength comes from real-world experience across multiple sectors:
- Healthcare Security (Emergency & Acute Care)
- Community & Bylaw-Style Enforcement
- Loss Prevention & Retail Security
- Close / Executive Protection
- High-Risk Incident Response
Every VPS officer meets and exceeds provincial requirements and is selected based on their ability to operate in high-risk, high-responsibility environments. Valley Protection Services does not employ unqualified personnel. All officers are trained, licensed, and held to a clear professional standard — no exceptions.
